Christian Carrol, Darion “Bam Bam” Newbolt, and TJ Sumner were named Wrestlers of the Week based on their performances at the Franklin and Columbus East meets.
Darion wrestled with varsity at the Franklin tournament, picking up a pin against Holt, one of Michigan’s top teams, and collecting 2 more wins on the day.
At Columbus East, Christian Carrol showed major improvement in a barn burner against Bloomington South. Last but not least, TJ Sumner racked up 3 pins and one tech fall, going a perfect 4-0 on the day at Columbus East.
