Jeffersonville High School wrestlers Carlos Molina and Jacob Laughlin made it official today by signing with Lassen Junior College. The two plan to continue their wrestling careers at the college, which is located in northern California just north of Sacramento and Reno.
Both Carlos and Jacob wrestled a mix of Varsity and Varsity B this past season. Carlos, who maintained a 3.0+ GPA all throughout high school, played for the football team for three seasons, was on the track team for three seasons, and was the co-editor in chief for the school newspaper. Jacob placed 3rd a Sectionals two seasons ago and was a Regional qualifier. In addition to wrestling, Jacob ran cross country for two years and won the Mental Attitude award.
This makes 34 signings in the past 16 years at Jeff and these two are the 18/19 since 2010. Jeff will have 11 wrestlers in college programs next year – 5 JUCO, 1 D3, 3 D2, 1 D1, 1 NAIA.
