This past week, 23 Team Jeff wrestlers traveled a little over 8 hours to Cedar Falls, Iowa to participate in the Iron Sharpens Iron Wrestling Camp. Over the course of a week, the camp featured clinicians such as returning NCAA champion Roman Bravo Youn, two-time NCAA champion Matt McDonough and duals with teams from all over the country. Other activities during that week included swimming at a local lake, truck pulls, and meeting wrestling legends like Tom Brands, Dan Gable, and Bruce Baumgartner.
Attending this camp would not have been possible without the generous help from local businesses – The Parlour Pizza (Craft Culture Concepts), Park Memorial United Methodist Church, Jarboe’s Heating and Cooling, and the Marines and a donation from Dylan Palacio.
While at the camp, Nathan Eihusen and Evan Clayton made the All-Star team of wrestlers and Ben Land won the takedown tournament, with Evan Clayton coming in second place for his weight class. In addition, Bradley Owens won the truck pull for his weight class.
Below are just some of the few photos from camp. Be sure to view them all on the Team Jeff Facebook page.
